
Our experience in design and manufacturing combined with a close association with universities worldwide has led to a continuous evolution and growth of our product portfolio. Each iteration leads to further new and innovative features/experiments thus ensuring that XdTech's products stand in a unique class of their own.
The latest set of products are compact table-top devices which are ideally suited for modeling, studying the dynamics of unstable systems using analog as well as digital control techniques. The units are packaged in fully assembled form and thus setup time is minimal. A multi-function PCI bus based data acquisition board forms the hardware interface between the electromechanical system and the control software. The systems may be controlled from within the Matlab® environment and real time control is effected via the popular Real Time Windows Target (RTWT).
Researchers can also generate run time code via several target controllers including DSPs.
Interface libraries, application software, and instruction material are also included with each device.
The digital controller is simple to fine-tune as the controller parameters can be varied (tuned) in real-time, using the tools indicated above, while the algorithm is being executed and these changes take place instantaneously.
Hence these features also enable faculty and students to design their own experiments and study various new control paradigms - thus allowing these devices to be easily used as test benches as required. Thus through carefully thought out designs, these devices enable faculty and students to focus on learning and innovation rather than troubleshooting. It is gratifying that such features have led to repeated orders for XdTech's devices from existing customers and praise from an ever-growing number of new users.
